Everything about Joan Roberts totally explained

Joan Roberts (b. 15 July 1918, New York City) is the American actress who created the role of Laurey in the original Broadway production of Oklahoma! in 1943. She is one of the few surviving cast members of the original production (along with Celeste Holm).
   She had been in retirement as a mother and grandmother, living on Long Island for many years, when she took on the role of Heidi Schiller in the 2001 Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies.
   Recently, she helped out local high school musicals in Oceanside, New York, including recent productions of High Button Shoes and Oklahoma!, directed by Bruce Bider.
